23 Players to Attend NFL Draft in New York

NEW YORK -- Twenty-three top prospects are confirmed to attend the 2013 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York, the NFL announced today.

That includes a 2013-best four players from BCS National Champion Alabama: T D.J. Fluker, RB Eddie Lacy, CB Dee Milliner, andG Chance Warmack– and four players from Florida State – QB E.J. Manuel, DE Bjoern Werner, T Menelik Watson, and CB Xavier Rhodes.

WHEN:

8:00 PM ET, Thursday, April 25 (Round 1).

6:30 PM ET, Friday, April 26 (Rounds 2-3).

Noon ET, Saturday, April 27 (Rounds 4-7).

The first round will conclude on Thursday by approximately 11:15 PM ET. In 2012, the first round consumed exactly three hours. The second and third rounds will conclude on Friday by approximately 10:30 PM ET. The second and third rounds took three hours and 48 minutes in 2012. The draft will conclude by approximately 7:30 PM ET on Saturday with the final four rounds. Rounds 4 through 7 took seven hours and 17 minutes in 2012. 

DRAFTING:

Representatives of the 32 NFL clubs by telephone communication with their general managers, coaches and scouts.

ROUNDS:

Seven Rounds – Round 1 on Thursday, April 25; Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday, April 26; and Rounds 4 through 7 on Saturday, April 27.

There will be 254 selections, including 32 compensatory choices that have been awarded to 16 teams that suffered a net loss of certain quality unrestricted free agents last year.

The following 32 compensatory choices will supplement the 222 regular choices in the seven rounds –

Round 3: Houston, 33; Kansas City, 34; Tennessee, 35. Round 4: Baltimore, 33; San Francisco, 34; Detroit, 35; Atlanta, 36. Round 5:Miami, 33; Green Bay, 34; Baltimore, 35.  Round 6: Houston, 33; Tennessee, 34; Baltimore, 35; Kansas City, 36; Oakland, 37; Pittsburgh, 38. Round 7: Philadelphia, 33; Cincinnati, 34; Seattle, 35; Seattle, 36; Atlanta, 37; Atlanta, 38; Detroit, 39; San Francisco, 40; Baltimore, 41; Tennessee, 42; Atlanta, 43; Miami, 44; Cincinnati, 45; San Francisco, 46; New York Giants, 47; Indianapolis, 48.

St. Louis (Nos. 16 and 22) and Minnesota (Nos. 23 and 25) have two selections in the first round. Seattle and Washington do not have first-round picks. All other teams have one first-round selection.

TIME LIMITS:

Round 1:10 minutes per selection. Round 2:Seven*minutes per selection.Rounds 3 through 7: *Five minutes per selection.

TELEVISION:

NFL Network and ESPN/ESPN 2 will televise the draft on all three days.

INTERNET & MOBILE:

Live streaming on Thursday, April 25 at 8:00 PM ET and Friday, April 26 at 6:30 PM ET, NFL.com Live Presented by Courtyard provides comprehensive coverage of the 2013 NFL Draft from Radio City Music Hall. On Saturday, NFL.com Live will stream NFL Network's coverage of Rounds 4-7 beginning at 12 Noon ET. Throughout the live stream broadcasts, NFL.com's "Cover it Live" blogging tool offers fans a unique forum to voice their opinions, and interact with fellow fans and NFL Network analysts.

The popular "Fan War Rooms" are back for a fifth year, offering innovative ways for fans to follow the Draft, allowing them the opportunity to discuss a team's strategy and immediately react once a player is selected.

Fans will be able to see exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the players attending New York City, in addition to inside access to Draft parties and events.

Draft Xtra is the official companion app for the 2013 NFL Draft on NFL Network. Available inside the latest version of NFL 13, Xtra will provide fans with exclusive live video and interviews from Radio City Music Hall. In addition, the application will offer key player information and the ability to play trivia, answer polls, and predict each pick as it is made live. Draft Xtra will be available on iOS and Android devices the week of the Draft.
