Jalyn Holmes

PRO: The Titans signed Jalyn Holmes at the end of the 2026 offseason to provide depth to the defensive front. The 6-foot-5-inch, 283-pound defensive lineman was originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft and spent a total of three seasons with the organization. He joined the New Orleans Saints' practice squad in 2021, appearing in two games. Holmes went on to sign with the New York Giants as an unrestricted free agent in 2022 before spending time with the Chicago Bears (2022-2023), New York Jets (2023-2024) and Washington Commanders (2024-2025). Prior to his arrival in Tennessee, he appeared in 65 games with 15 starts and amassed 48 tackles, four sacks and 13 tackles for loss.

• During his time with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Holmes was a favorite of the media, often switching from interviewee to interviewer. Additionally, the Lake Taylor High School product played in 11 games during the Buckeyes' 2014 national championship season.

• As a senior (2017), appeared in all 14 games with nine starts, tallying 29 tackles. Registered two sacks for 10 yards, three tackles for loss, three passes defensed, two quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. Earned All-Big Ten honorable mention by coaches and media.
• As a junior (2016), saw action in 13 games with 33 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks for 19 yards, a pass defensed and a forced fumble. Named honorable mention All-Big Ten by coaches and media.
• As a sophomore (2015), appeared in all 13 games and tallied 11 tackles, a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble.
• As a true freshman (2014), appeared in 11 games and notched 11 tackles, including a stop for loss.
• Majored in family resource management at Ohio State.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Lake Taylor (Norfolk, Va.) High School, where he helped the school win its first Virginia 4A state championship in 2012, capping a perfect 15-0 season. Tallied 59 tackles for loss and 21 sacks during his last two seasons of high school.
