Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Austin Deculus during the 2026 offseason to add depth to the offensive line. The Mamou, La., native has appeared in 26 games with six starts at left tackle in his four-year career. He originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft selection by the Houston Texans in 2022. Prior to joining the Titans, he also spent time with the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• In 2019, Deculus was named the Most Improved of Louisiana State's offensive linemen. That season, the Tiger offensive front was given the Joe Moore Award, given to the best college football offensive line unit. That line helped the Tigers to a historic undefeated season and a victory over Clemson in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
• The Mamou, La., native was selected by the Houston Texans in the sixth round (205th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
• Released by the Texans on Aug. 29, 2023 and signed to the team's practice squad two days later.
• Activated from the Texans' practice squad to the active roster via standard elevation on Sept. 16, 2023.
• Activated from the Texans' practice squad to the active roster via standard elevation on Sept. 23, 2023.
• Signed to the Texans' active roster from the team's practice squad on Sept. 30, 2023.
• Waived by the Texans on Nov. 11, 2023.
• Claimed off waivers by the New York Jets on Nov. 13, 2023.
• Waived by the Jets on Aug. 27, 2024.
• Signed to the New Orleans Saints' practice squad on Aug. 29, 2024.
• Activated from the Saints' practice squad to the active roster via standard elevation on Dec. 28, 2024.

SEASON RECAPS:

2025 (13/5 - L.A. Chargers): Appeared in 13 games with five starts at left tackle for the Chargers. Was inactive for four games. 
• At Miami (10/12), started at left tackle and helped the Chargers rush for 140 yards in a win.

2024 (0/0 - New Orleans, 1/0 - Houston): Played in one game as a reserve in his only contest on the Texans' roster after signing with the team on Dec. 31. Spent the majority of the season on the Saints' practice squad before being activated for the teams' Week 17 game when he suited up but did not play. 
• At Tennessee (1/5), saw action as a reserve on offense and special teams.

2023 (7/1 - Houston, 0/0 - N.Y. Jets): Appeared in seven games with one start at left tackle for the Texans. Waived by the team on Nov. 11 and claimed by the N.Y. Jets where he spent the remainder of the season.  After joining the Jets, was inactive for seven games and did not play in one contest. 
• Against Pittsburgh (10/1), made his first career start at left tackle and helped the offense account for 451 total yards in a win.

2022 (5/0 - Houston): Played in five games as a rookie, primarily as a  reserve on special teams. Was inactive for 11 games and did not play in one contest. 
• At Dallas (12/11), made his NFL debut as a reserve on special teams.

COLLEGE: 
• Saw action in 61 games with 46 starts over five seasons (2017-21) at Louisiana State. Became the first player in Tigers history to appear in 60 career games.
• As a graduate (2021), started 12 games at right tackle and did not miss a snap in conference play. Helped pave the way for Ty Davis-Price to rush for a school-record 287 yards against Florida.
• As a senior (2020), started all 10 games at right tackle. One of three offensive linemen to be the only Tigers offensive players to start every game that season. Helped the team rack up a season-high 593 yards of total offense against Ole Miss. Named to the 2020 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
• As a junior (2019), started all 13 games at right tackle. Was a full-time starter on the 15-0 Tigers that won the College Football Playoff National Championship title. A part of a line that was named the Joe Moore Award winner as the top unit in the nation. Help protect Heisman Trophy Award winner Joe Burrow who threw for an FBS single-season record 60 touchdowns.
• As a sophomore (2018), appeared in 13 games with 11 starts. His first career start came at left tackle in Week 2 and shifted to right tackle the following week where he remained for the rest of the season.
• As a freshman (2017), appeared in all 13 games, primarily as a reserve on special teams. Saw action on the offensive line in two games.
• Graduated from Louisiana State in December 2020 with a degree in sports administration.

PERSONAL:  
• Attended Cy-Fair (Texas) High School and was rated a four-star offensive lineman and named the No. 5 offensive tackle in the nation by ESPN as a senior in 2017. Ranked No. 33 overall and No. 5 overall prospect in Texas by Rivals.com.
• As a senior (2016), named honorable mention 6A All-State and participated in the Under Armour All-American Game in December.
