Peter Skoronski

OT Northwestern

Skoronski earned four-star and top-five center prospect grades nationally at Maine South High School in Illinois. When Wildcats star left tackle Rashawn Slater opted out of the 2020 season, the true freshman stepped into that spot for all nine games and earned second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors. The grandson of former Green Bay Packers team captain Bob Skoronski was a second-team pick in 2021, as well, starting all 12 games on the blindside. He was named the league's top offensive lineman and a first-team all-conference selection in 2022, again starting all 12 contests at the left tackle spot. -- by Chad Reuter

From Texans through Cardinals

Levis signed with Penn State after an outstanding career at Xavier High School in Connecticut. He started once as a redshirt freshman for the Nittany Lions in 2019 (28-47-59.6%, 223 yards, two TDs, two INTs passing; 51-213-4.2, three TDs rushing in seven contests) and once in 2020 (33-55-60%, 421 yards, one TD passing; 82-260-3.2, three TDs rushing) before transferring to Kentucky. The team captain started all 13 games for the Wildcats in 2021, throwing for 2,827 yards and 24 touchdowns (233-353-66%) and leading the squad with nine rushing scores (107-376-3.5). Levis started 11 games in his final college season (185-283-65.4%, 2,406 yards, 19 TDs, 10 INTs passing; two rushing TDs), missing one game with shoulder and turf toe injuries and opting out of the team's bowl game. His father, Mike, played football at Denison University and his mother, Beth, was a two-time All-American soccer player at Yale. -- by Chad Reuter

Tyjae Spears

From Lions through Cardinals

Spears gained 1,800 yards of total offense and scored 18 touchdowns his senior season at Ponchatoula High School. He redshirted at Tulane in 2019, playing in five games as a reserve (32-192-6.0, one TD rushing; 5-133-26.6, one TD receiving). Spears started the first three games of 2020 (37-274-7.4, two TDs rushing; 2-30-15.0 receiving) but missed the rest of the year with a knee injury. He played in all 12 games in 2021, leading the Green Wave with 863 rushing yards and nine scores (129 carries, 6.7 per; 19-145-7.6 receiving) in 12 games. Spears took his game to another level in 2022, earning the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year Award by rushing for 1,581 yards and 19 scores (229 carries, 6.9 per) and catching 22 passes for 256 yards (11.6) and two touchdowns in 14 starts. He finished his college career by winning the Cotton Bowl MVP Award (17-205-12.1, four TDs rushing; 1-14-14.0 receiving) in the comeback win over USC. -- by Chad Reuter

Josh Whyle

Whyle (pronounced why-lee) was offered by Big Ten, SEC and ACC schools as a top-10 tight end prospect out of La Salle High School but decided to stay home in Cincinnati to play for coach Luke Fickell. He redshirted in 2018, playing in four late-season games without catching a pass. He caught two passes for 51 yards (25.5 per) in 2019, then broke out in 2020, receiving second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors by catching a team-high six touchdowns (28-353-12.6). Whyle received honorable mention all-league notice in 2021, starting eight of 14 games played (26-332-12.8, six TDs). He was a first-team All-AAC selection in his final campaign (32-326-10.2, three TDs in 12 games, 10 starts), opting out of the Fenway Bowl to prepare for the draft. -- by Chad Reuter

Jaelyn Duncan

Duncan did not start playing football until he was 14 years old, but he quickly developed into a four-star recruit at St. Frances Academy in Maryland. He signed with the Terrapins for 2018, redshirting his first year before starting the final 11 contests of the 2019 season at left tackle. Duncan was an honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference pick in 2020 (starting all five games at left tackle), 2021 (11 starts at LT in 13 games played) and 2022 (started 12 games at left tackle). -- by Chad Reuter

Colton Dowell

Dowell was a big-play receiver at Wilson Central High School in Tennessee, matriculating to UTM for the 2017 season. He redshirted his first year on campus and then played in 11 games the next fall (10-138-13.8, three TDs). Dowell was a second-team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection as a sophomore (38-765-20.1, four TDs) and then garnered first-team all-league notice as the team's leading receiver for the 2021 spring season (40-459-11.5, four TDs in seven starts). He missed the second half of the 2021 fall season (22-398-18.1, two TDs in six starts) but still was named second-team All-OVC. Healthy again last fall, Dowell was a first-team all-conference pick for the OVC champions. He topped the squad with 67 receptions for 1,036 yards (15.5 per) and six touchdowns, becoming the school's all-time leader with 2,796 receiving yards. -- by Chad Reuter
