NASHVILLE – The Titans continue to make roster moves at a dizzying pace, and Tuesday's transactions took it to another level.

The Titans made a head-spinning 13 roster moves on Tuesday – on the active roster, practice squad, and Injured Reserve.

Here's a look at all the moves:

-Defensive back Buster Skrine, running back Dontrell Hilliard and outside linebacker John Simon have all been signed to the team's active roster.

Skrine, who played collegiately at Tennessee Chattanooga, has played in 152 career games in the NFL, with the Browns (2011-14), (2015-18), Bears (2019-2020) and the 49ers (2021). Skrine has 557 career tackles and nine interceptions.

Hilliard, who has played in two games with the Titans this season, was promoted from the practice squad. Hilliard ran for 35 yards on seven carries in Sunday's game vs the Texans.

Simon, meanwhile, is an eight-year veteran who spent time with the Patriots, Colts, Texans and Ravens in his NFL career before signing with the Titans for training camp, and then later rejoining the team. Now, he's back again.

-Running back Adrian Peterson has been waived from the active roster.

A seven-time Pro Bowler, Peterson played in three games for the Titans after being signed earlier this month. He rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown in 27 carries in those three contests.

-Defensive back Chris Jackson and receiver Marcus Johnson have been moved to Injured Reserve.

Jackson, who has played in nine games this season, will miss at least three games.

It's Johnson's second stint on Injured Reserve, which means he's done for the season.

-Receiver Golden Tate, running back Rodney Smith, receiver Austin Mack and defensive lineman Kevin Strong have all been signed to the team's practice squad.

Tate is a local product who was born in Hendersonville and played in high school at Pope John Paul II.

Tate, who played in college at Notre Dame, has played in 160 career games, and he's recorded 695 catches for 8,278 yards and 46 touchdowns while playing for the Seahawks (2010-13), Lions (2014-17), Eagles (2018), and Giants (2019-2020). He has three 1,000-yard receiving seasons and recorded a 10.1-yard average on 111 punt returns in his career.

Smith (5-11, 210) originally signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He appeared in nine games with one start for the Panthers over the last two seasons (2020-21). His career NFL totals include 41 rushes for 156 yards with a touchdown and 14 receptions for 107 yards. Smith tallied a school-record 5,441 career all-purpose yards at the University of Minnesota, while rushing for 4,122 career yards.

Mack (6-2, 215) entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the N.Y. Giants in 2020. He appeared in 11 games with one start as a rookie and hauled in seven catches for 91 yards. Mack played in 45 games with 28 starts at Ohio State and recorded 79 catches for 1,050 yards and six touchdowns.

Strong (6-4, 295) was signed by the Detroit Lions as a rookie free agent in 2019. He played in 15 games with one start for the Lions during the last three seasons (2019-21) and posted 16 tackles, a sack and a pass defensed. The University of Texas – San Antonio product saw action in 47 career games with 40 starts for the Roadrunners, totaling 106 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two blocked field goals.

-Receiver Chris Rowland and defensive lineman Niles Scott have been released from the team's practice squad.

-Fullback Khari Blasingame has been placed on the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list, which means he can return to practice. The designation openes up a 21-day window for Blasingame to practice, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

The Titans face the Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
